Plan for the Future
It may feel like the world is on fire, but it can only burn for so long—and it is almost extinguished! For just a little bit longer, we need to keep a positive outlook on the future that there is an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I can only imagine how you must feel considering how it has affected me and my family. The current state of the world has impacted me in ways I never thought I’d ever experience in my life.
In 2020, I had three trips cancelled due to the COVID-19 precautionary measures, including a celebratory Alaskan cruise for my 18-year-old daughter. In a time when she should have been celebrating this milestone birthday and graduation from high school, she was asked to put the trip on hold. With a hopeful glint in her eye and a smile from ear to ear, she responded with, “Oh well. I guess we will go next year or whenever it’s safe to go.” What an amazing attitude, and it rubbed onto me!
Our family accepted the challenge of finding a “new normal” until life could resume as it once did.
It is how we react during this time that truly defines our character.
Even though you couldn’t (or shouldn’t) take that trip to Cancun during the pandemic, this is just an opportunity for you to save your travel credits and funds for an even more epic adventure when you are able to travel. That sunshine will feel that much warmer and more satisfying after doing your due diligence of keeping everyone healthy and safe by self-isolating until everyone has been vaccinated (those who chooses to be) and we’ve taken control of the virus.
Although personal, unnecessary travel has been prohibited, this doesn’t mean that we all need to stop dreaming and planning for the future. The future could be in as few as a couple months!
Here are three destinations that are worth the wait.
Keep dreaming and planning for your time in the sun.
